The session will focus on opportunities and challenges when successful business leaders attempt to mentor those from poverty and disadvantaged circumstances who are attempting to launch and grow businesses. Attention is devoted to adopting a process mentoring approach that addresses the unique obstacles that the poor must overcome. Both the substance or content (what to focus upon) and the mentoring style (how to interact and manage the relationship) when working with these types of entrepreneurs are addressed. The session will be interactive, with experienced mentors sharing some of their successful approaches.
