The BizStarts Mentor Program consists of seasoned volunteers from the corporate and entrepreneur community.
Mentors are selected for their experience in areas relevant to the needs of new entrepreneurs and for their enthusiasm for the program. You’ve been successful. We invite you to share your practical knowledge and professional wisdom with the next generation of business leaders in Wisconsin by becoming a BizStarts mentor. If you have questions about joining our team please contact us online today.
A mentor works somewhat closely with an entrepreneur in either the start-up or scale-up phase, giving advice on a variety of topics and generally helping entrepreneurs navigate the pathway to a successful launch or growth
process. Our mentor relationships are unique in that they are skill specific.
We host Mentor Forums monthly which allows our entrepreneurs to present their business challenges and receive feedback from our mentors as a group. We then assign one to three mentors to work with the entrepreneur to work through their challenges and gain traction in their business!
What are the agreements for the BizStarts Mentor Program?
In general, mentors are selected for their experience in areas relevant to the needs of new entrepreneurs and for their enthusiasm for the Program. Relationships between mentors and entrepreneurs are formed based on the needs and preferences of the entrepreneur and the interests of the available mentor. But there are specific rules to which we ask our mentors and to adhere. You can read more about them here.
